The Role:

Working with an experienced CFO, this role is an exciting opportunity to work in a 100% privately owned and very successful large company consisting of over 2,000 employees/doctors in the healthcare space.

The key aspects of this role are:

  1. Manage a team of 8 (4 direct reports) with a focus on attention to detail, accountability and developing systems and processes.
  2. Our new $300 million finance facility will enable rapid and continued growth via M&A.
  3. This role will be a dynamic challenge that will enable you to develop and grow as the business evolves.
  4. Experience and knowledge of streamlining people and processes, ensuring accountability and integrity of the numbers will ensure success in this role.
  5. On site role in Hawthorn East and we will be moving to a new head office close to Camberwell Junction in the coming months.
  6. Collaborate with the CFO in preparing and executing financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  7. Mentor, coach and lead the Finance team.
  8. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, encompassing billing, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger management.
  9. Lead the preparation and presentation of timely, accurate financial reports and analyses for management decision-making.
  10. Lead change and process enhancements across the organization.
  11. Support month-end and year-end close process.
  12. Manage cash flow effectively, forecasting and planning for future financial needs.
  13. Drive process improvements and efficiencies across finance and accounting functions.
  14. Liaise with external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory filings.
  15. Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and financial analysis.
  16. Drive cost efficiencies throughout the business.
  17. Document business processes and accounting policies for enhanced internal controls.
  18. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and review tax lodgements.
  19. Support financial analysis and modelling for future acquisitions.
The ideal candidate:

The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, with significant relevant experience in a hands-on Finance leadership role. In particular, the successful candidate will:

  1. Have over 5 years experience as a seasoned Financial Controller for enterprise organisations.
  2. Must have completed CA or CPA certification.
  3. Demonstrate excellent communication and management skills.
  4. Have the ability to manage rapidly changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
  5. Be a motivated self-starter, with strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  6. Be a strong performance manager with drive and enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results.
  7. Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers.
  8. Be an excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills.
  9. Have strong ethical and professional values.
  10. Have experience with MYOB Acumatica (MYOB Advanced).
