Our commitment to our employees & clients is at the heart of everything we do. Rabobank Financial Economic Crime is seeking a Name Screening Analyst to be based in Sydney. In this role you will play a pivotal role in Rabobank's efforts to safeguard the bank from financial crime & sanction risks through end-to-end management of name screening alerts & other ad-hoc tasks as required. This typically involves screening for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Adverse Media & Sanctions, ensuring alerts are triaged, assessed & resolved in a timely & accurate manner.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Complete end-to-end Customer Screening & Business Partner of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Adverse Media & Sanctions alerts
- Support control & process remediation & BAU activities, & provide support on escalated matters & incident investigations as required
- Identify, assess & address any financial crime related risks
- Support the development & design of new name screening rules based on risk indicators from typologies provided by the Intelligence function
- Test new rules with the assistance of Analytics to determine the applicability & effectiveness through proven methodologies
- Review name screening rules on a regular basis to ensure that they are functioning correctly (calibration)
- Identify & execute potential improvements to rules upon review or when issues are escalated from the Investigations team
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a KYC / financial crime environment
- A working knowledge of the requirements under the AML/CTF Act
- A good understanding of PEP & AM screening requirements
- The ability to draft policies, procedures, & management reports
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks & meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- The ability to work on confidential & sensitive matters with a high degree of discretion
