The Role

The Package: $100,678.24 - $111,250.36 Gross per annum + 12% Super. (Evaluated as Grade 15 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

35 hours per week including weekends, public holidays and afterhours when events are scheduled. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

As our Team Leader, Events, you'll be the driving force behind the scenes, guiding a talented team, juggling plans and timelines, and making sure every detail comes together for show-stopping community events. From first idea to final pack-down, you'll keep everything (and everyone) on track so our region's celebrations run like clockwork.

In This Role You Will
  • Lead and manage the Events team, providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of Council-led events, and support the success of community and commercial events in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.
  • Coordinate collaboration across departments, community groups, and agencies to streamline event delivery.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Has proven leadership experience in event coordination or management.
  • Possesses strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficient processes.
  • Communicates effectively, builds strong working relationships, and leads by example.
