About the Opportunity:

As the Maintenance Manager for our newly acquired Sydney Student living portfolio, you'll take the lead on all aspects of maintenance, safety, and building performance for specific sites of our thriving student communities.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, values a high standard of presentation, and is ready to tackle everything from preventative maintenance to emergency repairs - all while leading a team and ensuring compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring timely, high-quality completion of both reactive and scheduled works.
• Lead and support the maintenance team, handling recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
• Manage resident repair requests from issue identification through to resolution, prioritising satisfaction and minimal disruption.
• Implement preventative maintenance plans and ensure all systems, equipment, and facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational.
• Coordinate inspections, compliance checks, and contractors, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and budget standards.
• Support emergency response, budget control, and inventory, while fostering a well-maintained, welcoming environment in partnership with the Community Manager.

About You

You're a proactive and team-oriented individual with strong hands-on experience in maintenance across residential, hospitality, or trades settings. With a solid understanding of WHS practices and compliance, you excel in leading service-focused environments and managing contractors. You bring strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the flexibility to support varied operational needs.

You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in residential or commercial maintenance, including knowledge of WHS, preventative systems, and contractor supervision.
• A valid driver's license and eligibility for required checks (National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check).
