Daimler Truck Australia Pacific seeks two Product Management and Engineering interns for a full-time 2026 Industry Based Learning program supporting Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Truck.
Your RoleHere's what you will be doing:
- Support product management and engineering activities for Freightliner, Fuso, and Mercedes-Benz Truck
- Provide engineering technical support to dealers and body builders
- Assist with design, development, and procurement of local kits
- Assist with rating letters, spec sheets, and development of new model specs and pricing
- Support safety feature demonstration days
- Collaborate with team members to achieve company goals
The company is looking for:
- Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study as of January 2026, with at least 12 months or 2 semesters remaining
- Students ideally undertaking a Mechanical Engineering degree, with a major in Mechatronics considered advantageous
- Innovative and highly motivated individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented candidates with a flexible and adaptable attitude
- Keen eye for detail and ability to develop or document new processes and initiatives
- Genuine passion for supporting Product and Engineering solutions in the truck industry
- Ability to work full-time office hours from mid-January 2026 to end of January 2027
- Valid working visa for Australia/New Zealand for the entire contract duration
