What's the role?

The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for a motivated and experienced Structured Finance professional to join our Corporate and Institutional Bank's (CIB) debt product team. In this client-facing role, you will be focused on providing Structured Finance (SF) solutions to our corporate and institutional banking customers, delivering credit analysis, structuring, negotiating, and documentation on a wide variety of complex deals.

You will collaborate and create sustainable relationships with senior debt product colleagues, internal coverage, analysts, and legal departments to provide the highest level of service to our valued clients. You will also identify prospective SF opportunities with customers that lead to new business, including preparing marketing materials and terms sheets.

What do I need?
  • Extensive credit experience working with C&IB clients, with a focus on financing through Securitisation and/or Structured Finance markets in Australia.
  • Technical knowledge in financial modelling, complex credit analysis, legal, tax, and/or accounting.
  • Proven ability to work in small deal teams with credit, legal, relationship managers, and other key stakeholders under tight timeframes to successfully execute transactions.
  • Recent experience in RMBS/ABS activity.
  • Energy and willingness to contribute to building new products and ventures.
  • Formal qualifications in quantitative disciplines such as accounting, finance, engineering, actuarial studies, etc., will be well regarded.
