About the role

We are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to service the Mackay area. Part-Time and Casual positions are available.

Your main responsibilities will include collecting blood and other specimens from patients, including performing 24-hour Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring.

Skills and experience

  • Venipuncture experience with vacutainer method is essential
  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients
  • Experience with ABP and Holter monitors is preferred but not essential
  • Processing of pathology specimens
  • Ability to work independently and participate in weekend rosters at our collection centres
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork
  • Own car and current driver's license are required
  • Effective communication with team members, referring doctors, and patients
  • Dedication to patient care and service delivery
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Basic computer skills
  • Compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
