We are seeking compassionate female specialised carers to join our team in providing exceptional home care services. As a specialised carer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and independence within their own homes.

Our specialised carers receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time, and kilometres. We offer flexible days of the week as well as start and finish times.

About the role

In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients' homes using your own car, for which you'll be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time.

Being female is recognised as a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Therefore, only female applicants are encouraged to apply.

The care work may include:

  • Providing personal care - assisting with showering and dressing
  • Helping around the home - meal preparation and light house cleaning
  • Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
  • Assisting with medication management
About you
  • You can relate to people, are patient, and solutions-focused.
  • You may have previous experience in aged or community care or are looking to start your career in aged care.
  • You have a valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum Third Party Property Insurance).
  • Ideally, you will have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and wish to obtain it, we can assist you.
  • You are flexible to meet the changing needs of home care clients.

Desirable

  • Italian, Arabic, Spanish, or Mandarin speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
Benefits
  • $30.42 to $33.15 per hour plus $0.99/km, paid travel time, and a mobile phone provided.
  • Full training provided; no experience necessary.
