Inside Sales - Communications & Security Solutions (CSS)

Wesco Anixter are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our Sydney team, based from our location in Silverwater.

The Role

In this role, you will interact with existing trade customers to increase sales of our products and services by obtaining and up-selling orders, processing quotations, consulting with suppliers and managing lead times.

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, our Inside Sales Team provides a diverse range of Security, Networking, Datacom and Telecom product solutions. This role will be predominantly supporting our Electronic Security database.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound sales calls
• Obtain orders through email and phone, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, explain backorders and expected delivery dates
• Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations
• Serve a variety of markets by suggesting and delivering the right product solutions to meet customer needs
• Initiate, establish, and build strong customer relationships, retention and loyalty
• Make cold and warm outbound sales calls to uncover opportunities
• Co-ordinate with key stakeholders including sales teams, inventory management, warehouse and supply partners to deliver outcomes for customers
• Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organisational goals
  
  

Requirements

• Strong phone presence with the ability to sell
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience working in a high pressure and/or fast paced customer service or inside sales environment
• Technical aptitude with the willingness to learn products, system design and solutions
• Excellent administration skills and organisation
  
  

The successful candidate will be highly driven and eager to succeed in sales by providing superior customer service. While product training and mentorship will be provided, knowledge of current technologies or applicable industry experience will be highly regarded.
