We have various roles available in our Book Production facility in Dandenong South, VIC, on a casual, full or part-time basis over day, afternoon or night shifts.

Job Title:

Book Production Operator

Job Summary
  • Operate and maintain production equipment to maximize uptime and meet safety and quality standards.
  • Production equipment includes printers, book binders, trimmers, and laminators.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain existing Right to Live and Work in Australia.
  • Operate multiple workstations as assigned, including printers, binders, and trimmers.
  • Perform preliminary quality control checks according to SOPs.
  • Notify manager/senior specialist when equipment is not operating effectively.
  • Clean and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Collaborate with other operations departments as needed.
Requirements:
  • 6 months of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
  • Good understanding of distribution practices and export requirements.
Education:
  • Minimum high school education with Maths and English proficiency.
Desirable Attributes and Skills:
  • Able to read and write English and use simple math.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good understanding of production/distribution working practices.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Lift/carry up to 20kgs during assigned shift – up to 15kgs frequently and up to 20kgs occasionally.
  • Walk and stand as needed.
  • Grip/grasp as needed.
  • Pull/push in a warehouse environment up to 30kgs force.
  • Bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently.
  • Work flexibly, including nights and weekends.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Exposure to wide range of temperatures.
