  The Opportunity
  
  We are seeking a Floor Coordinator to support with duties conducted in our Operating Theatres at Westmead Private Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of theatre operations, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal patient care, and effective communication among multidisciplinary teams. Afternoon shifts are available, offering flexibility for work-life balance.
  
  Your duties will include (but not limited to):
  • Support and contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating care practices, processes, and services.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to uphold best practices.
  • Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Clinical Managers to achieve excellence in care delivery.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with on-shift doctors to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practices.
  • Report directly to the Perioperative Services Manager, contributing to strategic goals and objectives.
    
    
  Skills And Experience
  
  To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to coordinate and motivate a large team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
  
  You will also bring;
  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience in theatres or acute care
  • Previous experience of floor coordinating in Operating Theatre will be highly regarded.
  • Clinical leadership experience or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Analytical and ability to problem solve
  • Critical care experience desirable but not essential.
  • A sound understanding and management of KPIs, staffing allocations and problem solving skills are crucial.
  • A participation in the on-call roster when needed.

  Requirements
  • Must provide aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
