We are an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (WGEA) and a member of the Champions of Change Coalition for the advancement of gender equality in Australia.The role is responsible to design, build and support automation frameworks for ASX Market Announcement Platform and Reference data Management system built of the Golden source vendor productTeam is responsible for ASX's reference data system and Markets announcement platform, a vendor platform with capabilities including build, test release and maintain of systems and its customisation within the Markets Line of Business.* Responsible for design, using own in-depth technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications, requirements and solution architecture of automation suite.* Design, code, verify, amend and refactor automation code and scripts.* Ensure traceability records exist from automation back to requirements.* Contribute to the automation approach for projects* Apply agreed standards and tools. to achieve well-engineered outcomes.* Responsible for interpreting and executing complex scripts, analysing results and maintaining a defect register* Responsible for system quality and collect metrics on tests and results.* Responsible for creation of test cases, test cycles, maintaining application testing suite and following ASX Quality engineering framework.* Support and implement the ASX Software Policy and Guidelines within the context of the assigned work and tools used and create and maintain documentation relevant to this.**Must** **have*** 5+ years of experience in building automation framework/scripts and tools.* Worked in an environment with a structured development process, performing automated System and System Integration testing. Proven experience in automation design based on in-depth technical and requirements analysis.* Created and maintained automated test code and scripts, run automated tests and interpreted & reviewed results from automated test runs.* Had exposure to automation at the UI and the API level. Worked as part of an agile, cross-functional team.* Had exposure to SOL query writing and have basic database skills. Had exposure to XML. AVRO or other message parsing* Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (GITLAB, Nexus, SonarQube) Experience with Cucumber. Selenium, Playwright. Mockito or RestAssured.* Exposure to non-functional testing, such as performance and load testing.* Strong programming and scripting skills with JAVA PowerShell. Bash, Perl or Python.**Nice** **to have*** Experience with testing micro-services and/or container-based architectures.* Knowledge of messaging protocols. such as SWIFT or FIX.* Created or contributed to automated test frameworks.* Capital Markets industry experience such as understanding of Stocks and shares. derivatives markets. and the business processes related to clearing of member trades.* Lateral thinker - bring forward ideas that will automate repeatable tasks to reduce work effort and ensure quality deliverables.# We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you'll help us to live our values.
