Doral Mineral SandsPty Ltd(DMS), has well established heavy mineral sands mining and processing facilities near Bunbury, Busselton and Mandurah in the Southwest of WA. As part of the company's growth strategy, we arelooking to broaden our mineral sands operations within the Gascoyne region of WA.

Doralis a medium sized business with a strong focus on our core values of safety, integrity, sustainability, and collaboration. This multi-faceted role will provide an excellent opportunity if you enjoy a challenge and being an integral member of a high performing and motivated mineral sands team.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent and based onsite in theGascoyne region,the successful candidate will have at least 4 years' relevant experience - ideally in a mineral sands environment.

TheSenior Operator - (Fixed Plant), will assist in the successfulcompletionof thefollowingduties and roles:

Coordinate daily operational activities and communicate shift priorities effectively

Support and direct operator(s) on your crew to help ensure they complete their responsibilities in a timely and safe manner.

Adjust plant/equipment control parameters within plant operating guidelines and instructions to attain or exceed production and quality targets.

Carry out sampling, preparation and testing of process streams according to current instructions including prevention of contamination of product streams.

Carry out plant start up and shutdowns according to current instructions and training.

Continually monitor the plant for abnormal signs of operation and take appropriate action to rectify the problem or notify the appropriate personnel.

Carry out fault finding of the plant and report your findings to the production superintendent. Fix the faults within the limit of your ability and training.

Maintain housekeeping of the plant to ensure a safe and tidy environment is maintained.

Provide suggestions where you see a need or benefit to the plant, personnel, or production.

Operate mobile equipment according to standard procedures and as directed

Carry out required duties as a Schedule 26 Statutory supervisor.

Support training and development initiatives for new and existing operators.

Complete shift handovers and report any concerns whilst on-shift in a timely and accurate manner.

Participate in incident investigation and safety improvement initiatives

Help and support all personnel within and outside your department where appropriate.

The successful applicantwill have a great attitude to safety, problem-solving and efficiency incorporating a 'team ownership' mentality. Your skill set should ideally include:

Hold or be willing to obtain statutory supervisor certification.

Demonstrated experience in mineral sands mining (or similar mining operations)

Proven leadership or supervisory capability (even if informally in roles)

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Sound understanding of production targets and how operational decisions impact outcomes

C Class Driving License - HR desirable

Front End Loader and Forklift Competence (desirable)

Strong Mechanical aptitude

Sound Computer literacy
