Chef de Partie – The Restaurant Pendolino, Sydney, SG Foodservice Pty Ltd

We are seeking a passionate, talented, and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, quality, and consistency in producing dishes of the highest culinary standards. The salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cooking and serving food according to quality, service, and time standards; preparing high-quality dishes following standard recipes within acceptable timeframes
  • Ordering, receiving, and managing supplies and deliveries according to restaurant guidelines
  • Maintaining portion control and cost systems
  • Assisting with staff training, including apprentices and trainees; planning menus in consultation with the Head Chef
  • Using safe work practices and supporting others in adhering to OHS standards
  • Maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting issues promptly

Required Skills and Experience:

  • An appropriate qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 3 years in a high-quality restaurant
  • Experience in a fine dining environment
  • Passion for dish preparation and presentation, including pastry goods; meticulous attention to detail
  • Reliability, punctuality, and hard work ethic
  • Ability to follow procedures and standard recipes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capability to manage kitchen operations during shifts and service
  • Adherence to food safety, OH&S, and standard operating procedures

This full-time role at The Restaurant Pendolino involves working Monday to Saturday; Sundays and public holidays are off.
