About NBMLHD: Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District provides public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital offering tertiary referral services across emergency care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric and neonatal intensive care, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.
Responsibilities- Support the daily operations of inpatient units and contribute to high-quality patient care as a frontline ward team member.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, families and healthcare professionals; help ensure smooth, efficient and compassionate clinical services.
- Utilise administrative, communication and interpersonal skills; work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive and varied clerical experience and reception experience.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Windows-based software including databases; proficiency in MS Word and Excel; proven typing skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to workplace change.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and privacy; ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
