Our aviation client is looking for a Digital Business Analyst with Amadeus experience to join their agile delivery team. This role will focus on translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for digital solutions within a complex and highly regulated environment.

You will leverage modern digital frameworks and methodologies to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and deliver innovative solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced aviation setting.

Contract Summary

Rate: Based on experience

Duration: 6 months

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Sydney

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements using user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Apply agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and design thinking, to deliver high-quality digital outcomes in the aviation sector.
• Conduct process mapping, flow charting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance digital service delivery.
• Analyse data using BI and digital analytics tools (preferably Adobe Analytics) to identify insights that inform decision-making.
• Evaluate legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements, particularly in the context of aviation compliance and safety standards.
• Work autonomously to deliver outcomes on time with a high attention to detail.
• Facilitate workshops, lead customer journey walkthroughs, and present at showcases for stakeholders across the organisation.
• Maintain and manage digital solution documentation using collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 1 year in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding and hands-on use of digital frameworks and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, lean, design thinking, human-centred design, multivariate testing, process mapping, flow charting, continuous improvement, and test automation.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria understood by developers, testers, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver to deadlines.
• Solid experience in BI/digital analytics, preferably Adobe Analytics, with the ability to compare datasets and derive accurate insights.
• Ability to interpret legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements and articulate risks in both technical and business terms.
• Amadeus Reservation System experience.
• Experience aligning business unit processes to enterprise processes within an aviation or travel environment.
• Ability to lead resolution of complex, strategic problems.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for documentation and backlog management.
• Familiarity with aviation domain-specific processes and customer experience journeys.
