The roleWe are recruiting an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Under supervision, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on BK117, AW139, G150 and B200 Series aircraft as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
- Under supervision, carry out maintenance of aircraft components as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
- Maintain personal tools and toolboxes in accordance with CareFlight's Maintenance Procedures Manual.
- Complete maintenance documentation correctly.
- Under supervision, maintain CareFlight aircraft within the scope of licencing requirements and in accordance with the CareFlight Maintenance Control Manual and Maintenance Procedures Manual.
- Ensure practical steps are taken to ensure safe practices in the workplace, identifying hazards and using the CareFlight Safety Reporting System.
- Carry out regular servicing of ground support equipment as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
- Ensure that all matters pertaining to engineering duties are professionally completed including all correspondence such as emails and phone calls.
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience from Aviation, Marine or Automotive industries.
- Team player approach to work but able to work autonomously effectively.
- Ability to problem solve and provide workable solutions.
- Well organized and self-motivated.
- Professional, service-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work occasional shifts to support 24/7 operations.
- Completed or completing Cert IV / Diploma in Aeroskills (Mechanical) with continued desire to progress with licensing.
