The Polaris Marine Group is a privately owned company with strong financial stability and now encompasses three dynamic entities within the Group.

Due to the continuous organic growth & acquisition, a new role has been created in the Finance team for a forward-thinking individual to join our dynamic team. The organisation is entering into an exciting phase where process improvement and digital transformation will be the main agenda. Working closely with the finance team and operational key stakeholders, your job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Revenue management including raising invoices, monitoring collections and weekly reports
  • Bank reconciliations and preparation of daily cash reports
  • Responsible for month-end process including balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining fixed assets register & intercompany transactions
  • Provide assistance for job cost analysis by producing Job P&L reports. Ensure correct coding of transactions
  • Prepare monthly reports with analytical commentary
  • Assist with cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed to support the team
  • Assist in project software implementation as needed

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Tertiary / degree, qualified in accounting or business
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in the use of financial systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive mindset, taking initiative to optimise processes and enhance efficiency
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the accounts
