Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Services Accountant - Intermediate to Senior Level, located in Sydney, NSW. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS statements, conducting financial analysis and business advisory services, and ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities also include maintaining client relationships, offering strategic tax planning advice, and identifying opportunities for clients to optimise their financial operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS statements
• At least 4 years (full-time basis) of public accounting firm experience
• Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting, inventory accounting, payroll and some international dealings matters
• Skills in financial analysis and business advisory services
• Familiarity with Australian tax laws and compliance requirements
• Ability to maintain client relationships and offer strategic tax planning advice
• CA or CPA qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Experience in the accounting industry and relevant software proficiency (Xero, BGL, QBs, MYOB, Oracle NetSuite)
