Mastermyne has partnered with Whitehaven Coal Limited since 2016, and look forward to continuing this longstanding client relationship and stability in the NSW Underground Coal Industry. Now, with two contracts at Narrabri for Cut and Flit and Gateroad Development, Mastermyne provides employment stability for our crews and opportunities for career development.

About the Role

Our Mechanical Coordinators are critical in providing direction and support to supervisors and trades to deliver work safety. It is through the coordinator's planning, communication, and leadership that our supervisors and crews are set up for success. We're seeking a Mechanical Coordinator with extensive underground coal experience with a focus on cut and flit mining and/or gateroad development.

About You

Minimum skills and attributes we seek for a Mechanical Coordinator:

  • Coordinators are responsible for providing direction to Mastermyne employees and subcontractors and are required to liaise with external representatives to achieve safety and production targets.
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on Development works and/or UG Coal Cut & Flit;
  • S123/G2 Supervisory Certificates mandatory.
  • Certificate IV Underground Coal Mining desirable or a willingness to commit to this study will be a requirement for our Mechanical Coordinator;
  • Has successfully planned, managed and delivered projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Exceptional communication of planned work to crew/s.
  • Strong visible safety interactions and leadership, particularly underground.
  • An advocate for continuous improvement and setting high standards of work;
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Strong people leadership, including feedback and coaching of team.
