Business Development Representative – Australia Fashion Market

As we expand in the Australian market, we're seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to deepen relationships with Australian fashion labels, sourcing teams, and strategic partners.
OverviewAs a Business Development Representative for the Australian market, you will serve as the primary liaison for potential and existing clients in the region. Your role will involve identifying new opportunities, building strong partnerships, and ensuring an exceptional brand experience for our collaborators in the evolving Australian fashion ecosystem. This role requires strong sourcing experience (either on the product or design side) and familiarity with the apparel/fashion manufacturing industry. Candidates must have experience working in companies with an annual turnover of at least USD 10 billion.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively identify and pursue new brand and sourcing partnerships within the Australian fashion industry.
- Represent Brij Designs at relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance visibility and build new connections.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, sourcing teams, and stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end deal cycles including pitching, negotiating, and closing.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure client requirements are delivered seamlessly.
- Maintain regular reporting and sales pipeline updates to the Business Development Lead.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales within the fashion or apparel manufacturing industry.
- Proven sourcing experience (product or design side) in working with leading fashion brands or manufacturers.
- Familiarity with the Australian fashion retail landscape, key players, and sourcing channels.
- Experience working in companies with a turnover of at least USD 10 billion.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and a solution-focused mindset.
- Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
