Overview

Community Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Psychologist) - Community Mental Health Core Team at NSW Health. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (38 hours per week) up to November 2026 with possibility of ongoing employment. Position Classification: Clinical Psychologist. Remuneration: $2,093.71- $2,551.92 per week + annual leave loading + Superannuation. Location: Canterbury Hospital. Requisition ID: REQ603098.

About the Role

Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care. The Community Mental Health / Core Team model of care is the mainstay of the community mental health system. Core Teams provide a range of clinical services including intake, assessment, consultation, treatment and care coordination. Care coordination is a main component of this model of care and includes extended care coordination, targeted packages of care and short term care coordination. The Clinical Psychologist will practice in keeping with the standardised Sydney LHD position description for the profession in addition to this position description. Responsibilities
  • Work within the Community Mental Health Core Team to deliver intake, assessment, treatment and care coordination services.
  • Provide evidence-based clinical psychology input in alignment with the Sydney Local Health District position description.
Ideal Candidate
  • Recognised tertiary qualifications as a Clinical Psychologist including full AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
  • Understanding of and commitment to recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service provision.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
