Overview

Cardiac Technologist (Grade 1/2) role at NSW Health. Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (24 hours per week) up to May 2026. Location: Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Requisition ID: REQ602699. Remuneration: $37.03 - $56.69 per hour + Annual Leave + 11.5% Superannuation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiograms as required; interpret results and advise physicians of any observed abnormalities in addition to assuming full responsibility for accurate recording and analysis of ECG and hemodynamic measurements during and after cardiac catheterisation.
  • Support cardiac device implants; perform electrophysiological studies; perform interrogation of implanted cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders), interpret results and advise physicians of any observed abnormalities in both in-person and remote monitoring settings.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent, and post-graduate qualification in electrophysiology or CIED or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Demonstrated ability to instantly recognise and document abnormal ECG and pressure waveforms.
  • Knowledge of advanced life support.
  • Applicants will need to have the ability to work on a 24/7 rotating on-call roster.
