The opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced Account Executive or BDM with a track record of selling SaaS applications software in a fast-paced high growth company to join our ANZ sales team based in Sydney or Brisbane to secure new customers who can realise the benefits and full potential of using Mooven.

It's about helping Mooven become one of the essential construction technology platforms our customers rely on to realise their objectives, smarter and faster. It's also about playing an influential role in changing the way individuals, teams, organisations and an entire industry do things.

  • You'll be reporting to our co-founder and CEO, Micah Gabriels.

  • Our current tech stack includes Hubspot as our CRM and marketing automation platform, LinkedIn as our primary tool for identifying leads and Lusha for identifying contact information.

What you'll be doing

You'll be a self-starter who likes to get stuck in and source your own leads to identify new and existing customers within major construction firms, government authorities and engineering companies who specialise in construction, roads and infrastructure projects where the work has either a perceived or real disruptive impact on the community.

But ultimately you're responsible for closing deals and bringing in new business to grow our client base within your assigned territories and increase our Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) so we can continue to fuel our growth, support our customers to be more productive and successful and create space for cities to thrive.

Day-to-day, you'll be:
  • Working closely with our co-founder and CEO Micah Gabriels who leads Sales and our awesome Account Executives
  • Undertaking new business development activities across a range of large and mid-size accounts within your assigned territories, from first outreach to signed contract
  • Managing opportunities through the sales process from discovery to close, to grow your assigned territories
  • Prospecting to build your pipeline
  • Completing RFPs and creating proposals
  • Providing timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on performance by keeping our CRM system (Hubspot) up to date
  • Sharing your learnings so that the whole team can learn from your experience
  • Helping develop and refine our sales process.

What you'll need to do well

We're looking for skilled, down-to-earth Sales person who is passionate about what we do and has the confidence and growth mindset to quickly absorb the learnings from our past to identify and help the customers who are facing the types of problems our platform can help them to solve.

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Solid work experience in a closing role at a growth stage SaaS business selling larger complex solutions and enterprise deals to C-suite / senior leadership (ie. outside of the IT group) in medium and large organisations, along with project based run-rate deals.
  • A proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets
  • Success in generating their own leads
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to ask questions to clarify whether or not our solution is a good fit for our customer's business
  • The ability to share compelling stories that offer valuable perspectives
  • Formal training in the sales process and effective sales techniques (eg. MEDDIC)
  • A growth mindset and comfort in pushing the bounds of what's possible
  • Strong networks to grow referrals
  • Comfort cold calling and building rapport in any circumstance
FAQs

What deal sizes will I be selling?
You'll mostly be working on deals worth around $40-70k a year.

Are the Account Executives achieving their sales targets?
Yes. Our existing team has to work hard but typically achieves or exceeds their quota.

Will this role participate in a commission plan?
Yes. You will be incentivised and rewarded for the Annual Contract Value of new deals.

When is commission paid?
Monthly, following the first customer payment.
