Chief Delivery Officer / Delivery Director

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially focused senior leader to head our clients Delivery Function. This role will sit within the senior leadership team and be accountable for overseeing the successful delivery of programs and projects for their end clients, while shaping and uplifting our internal delivery function.

The Chief Delivery Officer (or Delivery Director) will drive enterprise change, align delivery teams to business objectives, and ensure client-facing excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who thrives in fast-paced, client-facing vendor settings, leading large teams while partnering closely with C-Suite stakeholders to embed enterprise change.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership of the Delivery Function

• Head up the program delivery and PMO, accountable for end-to-end delivery of all client programs and projects.
• Provide leadership to Project Managers, Program Managers and Business Analysts, aligning their efforts under one unified function.
• Drive cultural uplift and embed behaviours required to operate as a successful enterprise function.

Client & Commercial Focus:

• Act as a client-facing leader, accountable for commercial outcomes and relationship management.
• Lead delivery teams through complex engagements, ensuring on-time, high-quality, and value-driven outcomes.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for clients, demonstrating credibility, ownership, and results orientation.

Change & Transformation

• Partner with the CIO, CPO, and COO to embed strategic changes across the enterprise.
• Lead cultural and operational alignment initiatives to ensure delivery excellence and scalability.
• Drive enterprise change functions with autonomy bringing forward ideas and executing initiatives to support business growth.

Team & Operational Scale

• Lead and inspire large teams, ensuring alignment, engagement, and high performance.
• Oversee internal project delivery where applicable, supporting business transformation initiatives.
• Balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, willing to "roll sleeves up" to ensure outcomes.

Your Profile

• Proven track record of delivering complex programs/projects at scale (financial services, superannuation, fund services, custody, or related industries highly regarded).
• Experience managing large delivery teams, with direct leadership of project managers and business analysts.
• Strong client-facing, commercial, and stakeholder engagement experience.
