At Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS), we support individuals to live with dignity, choice, and independence. Due to rapid growth, we're expanding our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team and are looking for passionate, reliable Residential Care Workers to join us.

Whether you have experience in mental health, complex behavioural support, high physical care, or general disability services – we want to hear from you.

If you're calm, compassionate, and confident in providing structured support across a variety of client needs, and open to working across multiple residential homes, this could be the perfect fit.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, part-time role (20–30+ hrs/week) providing person-centred support to clients with a wide range of needs – from psychosocial disabilities and mental health conditions to complex behavioural and physical support.

You'll deliver a mix of personal care, daily living assistance, and skills building – while working alongside a committed and values-driven team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver personal care: showering, continence care, dressing, mobility support
  • Support with medication, health routines, and positive behaviour strategies
  • Assist with domestic duties: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and meaningful daily routines
  • Follow individualised support plans and complete documentation
  • Work across multiple residential homes with diverse client needs

About You
  • Experience in disability, mental health, aged care, or community support
  • Comfortable supporting clients with complex behaviours or high personal care
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to consistent support
  • Ready to grow with a fast-moving and supportive organisation

Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or related (highly regarded)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Valid Driver's Licence & own vehicle
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (as per public health orders)
  • Availability for a mix of early, evening, weekend and/or sleepover shifts
