We're partnering with a leading government organisation to find an experienced Senior Project Manager to help deliver vital building projects across Queensland.

In this pivotal role, you'll provide leadership and oversight on a wide range of building projects, managing everything from early design through to final handover. You'll coordinate diverse project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet scope, budget, and time requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of building projects, including design, documentation, contract administration and post-construction activities.
  • Oversee contract management across traditional and non-traditional delivery models.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring projects meet agreed scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Leading negotiations with consultants, local authorities, internal and departmental stakeholders, the client and contractors to ensure value for money solutions are identified and delivered.
  • Monitor project performance, report on time and cost variances, and conduct project audits as required.
  • Assist in determining service fees and billing processes where appropriate.
  • Uphold quality assurance procedures throughout project delivery.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex building projects end-to-end within the construction industry.
  • Client-side project management experience.
  • Strong contract management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate project teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning or Quantity Surveying) is highly regarded but not essential.
