General Counsel | Western Sydney | A$170,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr + super

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Counsel to step into a key leadership role within a values-driven organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position provides expert advice across all legal, governance, compliance, and company secretariat matters.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, Board, and Executive team.
  • Leading contract negotiation, litigation management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Overseeing governance frameworks, compliance schedules, and risk management.
  • Supporting Board operations, reporting, and policy development.
  • Building strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, and stakeholders.

We'd especially like to hear from you if you bring experience in:

  • Not-for-Profit or Charity organisations
  • Corporate Governance & Board advisory
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

What you'll bring:

  • Current legal qualifications and NSW practising certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Counsel or senior in-house legal role.
  • Strong governance, compliance, and company secretariat expertise.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to complex legal matters.
