North Queensland Region is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Officer on a temporary full-time basis for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined. The position will provide high quality corporate support to the Directors of both the Student Services team and Student, Child and Family Connect team (SCFC).

About The Role

As the Senior Support Officer your role will include:

  • Preparing reports and correspondence for Senior officers, undertaking activities of a specialist or detailed nature and providing, interpreting and analysing information for clients.
  • Using established priorities, task methodology and work practices to achieve results in line with the Departments priorities.

Responsibilities Include
  • Setting priorities and monitoring work flow in the Student Services and SCFC Teams.
  • Co-ordination of a range of corporate office functions.
  • Applying previous experience to act independently, for example, developing local procedures, management strategies and guidelines.

About You
  • Experience in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • The ability to set priorities, monitor work flow and develop local strategies or work practices.
