A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role

Reporting to the Coordinator Civil Design & Special Projects, we are seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer who can bring their hands on design skills and experience for:

Design, implement and administer projects within Council's Engineering and Urban Design Programs ensuring the design, production and delivery of allocated projects are within agreed scope, timescales, budgets and in accordance with Council's policies, procedures and technical standards.

To be considered you will have:

• Local government experience is desirable
• A Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated sound working knowledge (hands on) of road, drainage, pavement and car park, shared use paths, streetscape & open space design projects and other municipal infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing multiple diverse projects within a structured project management framework, effectively handling stakeholder requirements and reporting.
• Proficient in the use of computer software especially in Civil Site Design or Magnet Office and AutoCAD.
