Overview

Microsoft 365 Engineer — Federal Government

URGENT 3-Month Contract (possible extension). Join a leading IT service organisation supporting a Federal Government client. We're seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to deliver implementation, configuration, and migration projects across enterprise environments.

Rate, Location, Start
  • $800–$900/day incl. super
  • Sydney (Hybrid or 100% Remote)
  • Immediate start
Responsibilities
  • Execute Microsoft 365 implementation and migration projects with the Architect, ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Deploy solutions across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD) and integrate with on-prem AD, servers, networks, EUC and apps.
  • Provide consulting through design, build, testing, cutover and stabilization.
  • Automate administration and deployments using PowerShell; produce clear runbooks/documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues across hybrid M365 environments and drive timely resolution.
  • Stay current on M365 best practices, security and governance.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years in IT consulting, including 3+ years as a Microsoft 365 Engineer.
  • Proven implementation and migration project delivery (hybrid and cloud).
  • Strong Intune/Endpoint Manager, Exchange Online, Teams/SharePoint, Entra ID.
  • PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
Clearance & Credentials
  • Must be an Australian citizen with an active NV1 security clearance (or higher).
  • Microsoft 365/Azure certifications are a plus.
