Overview

This role is your chance to teach young Territorians the skills to save a life.

St John NT is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Community Education Officer to join our Strategy, Brand and Engagement team.

In this role, you'll deliver St John NT's First Aid in Schools Program, equipping students of all ages and a range of learning abilities with practical, life-saving knowledge. By inspiring confidence in first aid from a young age, you'll be helping to build safer, more resilient communities across the Territory.

About the Role

As a Community Education Officer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate first aid sessions to students
  • Promote St John NT's mission, services, and community initiatives
  • Adapt your teaching style to different learning needs
  • Support the growth and improvement of the program
About You
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm for education and community safety
  • Confidence engaging with students of all ages (and sometimes parents)
  • A proactive and flexible approach to learning and delivery
  • Prior knowledge of first aid is an advantage, but not essential
