Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to take ownership of testing activities within a major Defence ICT program in Canberra. This leadership role will see you driving test governance, coordinating teams and ensuring high-quality outcomes in a secure, complex environment.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the test strategy for a large Defence program
  • Lead and mentor test teams across multiple streams
  • Manage vendor and stakeholder engagement around testing activities
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting at program level
  • Ensure test coverage, quality assurance and risk management are delivered effectively
Qualifications
  • Strong experience as a Test Manager on large scale ICT Defence programs
  • Proven capability to provide test leadership within Defence
  • Deep understanding of testing frameworks, assurance processes and quality governance
  • Experience with automated test frameworks and API testing
  • Experience managing the entire test lifecycle, from planning to execution and defect management
  • Ideally have supported Defence in an above the line capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, vendors and stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Understanding of health insurance systems
  • NV1 (or higher) clearance essential
  • Canberra based

Note: You must have an active security clearance and prior experience supporting Defence in a Test Leadership or Management function to be considered.

Contract details
  • Long-term contract, very likely to extend
  • Canberra based
