Role and Location

This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile data centre projects and mission-critical infrastructure for some of the world's leading technology clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design of mission-critical infrastructure across Australia within the national Mission Critical team.
  • Plan, design and deliver mechanical services for technically complex data centre projects.
  • Work closely with national and international clients, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering innovative, resilient mechanical engineering solutions that support operational continuity.
  • Provide leadership in client engagement, team mentoring, project delivery, and technical design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
  • Contribute to shaping the mechanical engineering capability within the data centre sector and mentor the next generation of technical leaders at ADP.

About You
  • Mechanical engineer with 10+ years of experience in the building services industry, with a strong track record delivering complex, high-value projects across critical infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise in HVAC design and delivery, with a focus on resilient, efficient mechanical systems for mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading project teams, engaging with clients, and delivering strategic outcomes across multidisciplinary environments.
  • Experience spanning diverse sectors such as mission critical, defence, healthcare, or large-scale commercial projects, with an understanding of regulatory and operational complexities involved.
  • Confident in managing competing priorities, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Hold (or be eligible for) professional registration and understand obligations as a senior design practitioner under relevant state legislation.
