A great opportunity at our Kalgoorlie Terminal for a Senior Operator to join our team. This full-time role would suit someone that wants to stay active and has an interest in the petroleum industry.

Responsibilities
  • Overall safety, operation and maintenance of Kalgoorlie Terminal.
  • Receipt, safe handling and storage of fuel products.
  • Operational tasks associated with maintenance and product quality including product transfers, product sampling and testing.
  • Raising maintenance work notifications, work clearances, gas testing, permitting, and Lock out Tag out.
  • Hot oil systems operations, Interceptor operations and storm water management
  • Valve, transfer and gantry operations.
  • Shipping, bunkering, and Rail/Tanker loading/unloading.
  • Emergency response and incident control.
  • Preparation and submission of daily stock sheets.
  • Participation in HSSE assurance activities, audits, emergency response, work insights in the context of maintaining our safety management systems.
  • Undertaking basic housekeeping duties in relation to operational areas, and work area/site.
  • Ad hoc audits and interaction with drivers and their fleet vehicles for compliance and safe operations.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Strong passion and commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and confidence to speak up when something isn't right.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • People focused, dependable, detail-oriented.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Innovative problem-solver who has ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to hold a forklift licence (training will be provided).
  • Operational or manufacturing environment experience (ideally in the dangerous goods industry) is desirable.
