Tutor Sonographer

Based in Hobart, this role helps lead our Sonographer development program across Tasmania and supports Radiology Tasmania's vision to become the diagnostic medical imaging specialists of choice across the state. The position provides a blend of clinical teaching, oversight and leadership for ultrasound trainees with a potential hybrid of supervisory and scanning duties.

We are looking for well developed teaching and leadership skills to mentor students from initial to final stages of scanning and to help establish an inviting teaching environment with high standards.

• Provide clinical teaching, oversight and leadership for ultrasound trainees
• Mentor and tutor students from initial to final stages of scanning
• Lead and shape Radiology Tasmania's sonographer development program across Tasmania
• Collaborate with the ultrasound leadership team to create a high-standard teaching environment
• Potentially combine supervisory duties with limited scanning depending on interest and program needs

• ASAR registration
• A minimum of 4 years experience as a general sonographer
• Thorough knowledge of scanning techniques and anatomy
• Experience, mentoring, tutoring or teaching students
• A commitment to provide high quality imaging and continued professional development
• Current BLS/CPR or ability to gain prior to commencement

• Dedicated limited scanning, supervisory role
• Ability to build and mould your own training regime in conjunction with the current lead sonographer
