The Opportunity

Warringal Private Hospital is seeking Cleaners/Housekeepers to join our diverse team of around 30 staff Exciting opportunity within an ever-expanding hospital currently under development in the heart of Heidelberg and near train and bus services.

We have opportunities for Housekeepers to join us on a casual basis across the following shift types: morning / evenings / afternoons and weekend rotating roster. Positions to fit in with school hours available.

About The Role

Joining our team as a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.
  • Ensuring all equipment utilized on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas.
  • Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
  • Adhering to all infection control guidelines and principles.
About You
  • Prior experience in a cleaning role within a healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Availability to work morning / afternoon / evening and weekend shifts required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience with hazard identification.
  • Understanding of hygiene principles.

Overall, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic, characterized by punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a dedication to professional practice.

Remuneration:

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $26.64 + 20% casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
