Holmesglen Private Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in this fast-paced and varied environment across the Hospital. This role will see you cleaning in a variety of areas across the Hospital including patient rooms, corporate offices, and hallways.

About us: Holmesglen Private Hospital is a world-class facility located in the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Close to public transport and with affordable onsite parking.

Holmesglen Private is a state-of-the-art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit, and 5 specialised inpatient units – including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services.

As an Environmental Service Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high standard of cleaning services
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience in Healthcare/hotel/airline cleaning is preferred but not essential
  • Working with Children check
  • Police check will be required
  • Commitment to service excellence
  • Proven time management skills and ability to manage priorities
  • Strong communication and customer skills
  • Work well independently and within a team
