Our Team & Opportunity

The APAC Marketing Technology (MarTech) team is responsible for:

  • Driving engineering excellence across Adobe, SFMC, AWS Experience technologies, and Public Websites.
  • Partnering with IT, Marketing, and senior stakeholders across Vanguard Global teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Advancing Vanguard's mission by enabling Marketing through secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.
We are seeking a Lead MarTech Engineer to lead and elevate our marketing technology capabilities. You will collaborate with technical leads, architects, and senior stakeholders across business, technology, and global teams (including offshore and US-based MarTech). You will be delivery-focused, solution-oriented, and proactive in managing platforms and products. You will work closely with product owners to shape and own roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

What You Will Do
  • Lead delivery of MarTech platform enhancements, integrations, and configurations with a focus on scalability and Marketing outcomes.
  • Manage operations of MarTech platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
  • Engineer cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and modern DevOps practices.
  • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycle processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, driving continuous improvement and engineering maturity.
  • Maintain high standards in code quality, documentation, and automated testing (TDD).
  • Partner with Tech Leads and Architects to shape MarTech strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead initiatives to mature platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud and SFMC.
  • Collaborate with global sourcing teams and offshore delivery partners.
  • Deliver software releases aligned with business priorities and roadmap objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to IT and security policies, validating deliverables against requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and support cross-functional initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:

Core Technical Skills:
  • Advanced experience with AWS Cloud technologies (IAM, Secrets Manager, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, Glue, ECS).
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, system integration, and secure design principles.
  • Development experience in modern languages and frameworks (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React).
  • Expertise in Adobe Experience Platform, AEM, CDP, AJO, CJA, Target, Launch.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and agile delivery (GitHub, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Knowledge of enterprise cloud engineering best practices and secure development lifecycle.

  • Deep experience with AEM, CMS platforms, and marketing automation tools.
  • Exposure to data engineering, analytics platforms, and secure data pipelines.
  • Strong application security awareness and experience with microservices and API design.
  • Passion for mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and driving global initiatives.
  • Experience with CI/CD, agile methodologies, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Proven ability to architect and design scalable marketing and data platforms.
  • Full-stack development expertise across modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) supporting data-driven solutions.
  • Familiarity with AWS services: API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Fargate, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to stay ahead of emerging tech trends, especially in security, APIs, and UI/UX.
