DAY SHIFT BAR POSITION

Clarendon Hotel – Purveyors of Good Times

Centred in the heart of Newcastle, Clarendon Hotel blends a vibrant bar and beer garden, contemporary dining, and 4-star boutique accommodation.

With major renovations and expansion approved for next year, we're gearing up to keep the good times rolling – and we're looking for a standout bar team member to jump on board.

The Role
  • 3 – 4 days set roster – 9:30am – 4:30pm – (no more 3am knockoffs)
  • Open procedures: ensure the bar is ready for the day and smooth from the first pour
  • Deliver top-notch service in our bar and gaming room
  • Prep for cocktails ahead of busy service times and stay on top of the general day-to-day cleaning roster – all part of keeping the venue running smoothly
The Right Fit
  • You bring solid experience behind the bar and know your way around a gaming room
  • Cocktail experience is preferred (but if you're eager to learn, we're keen to train)
  • You're a self-motivated pro when working solo; equally thriving as part of a team
  • Reliability isn't a skill, it's a habit – you're always on time and ready to roll
  • You've got the kind of people skills that make locals feel at home and our newcomers feel like regulars
  • Easy-going and steady under pressure, you know how to keep the mood positive
  • You're a clear communicator — with your team, your manager, and your customers
