Sodexo is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Catering Manager with a passion for food, strong catering knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves engaging with all levels of Sodexo Catering staff, Village Management, and dining room guests across multiple sites within a region. About the role;

The primary goal is to create and manage stable catering teams across sites, focusing on safety, service quality, culture, and job satisfaction. The role includes building strong, agile teams and ensuring compliance with kitchen processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for all onsite catering operations within the region
  • Managing regional food costs
  • Overseeing menu scope, presentation, cost, and planning
  • Improving efficiency and profitability of catering operations
  • Maintaining high service standards aligned with Sodexo and client expectations within budget
  • Consulting with stakeholders regularly and driving team performance
  • Developing a safety-focused culture within the team

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be responsible for onsite catering operations in a fast-paced environment, requiring motivation and focus. To succeed, you should have:

  • Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and police check
  • Certificate III (minimum) or IV (desirable) in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 7 years of strong chef experience, including remote FIFO environments
  • Advanced Food Handlers Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Experience in high-pressure catering, corporate, hotel, or events environments
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to manage teams of up to 30 staff
  • Experience in menu planning and production
  • Proven ability to control food and labor costs, with analytical skills
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills
