Electrical Engineer – Simulation & Training Systems (Aerospace)
The Electronic Attack Air Combat Training Support (EATS) program is based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD. The program supports the RAAF Super Hornet and Growler aircrew and maintainer training system.
ResponsibilitiesThe engineering team supports maintenance of the RAAF training systems by:
- Analysing electrical (computing & ICT) systems
- Determining compliance status
- Investigating hardware sparing and obsolescence issues
- Conducting evaluation and testing
- Undertaking life cycle costing analysis of critical sub-systems
- Ensuring accurate configuration documentation
- Requires a University Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline (Computer Science)
- Systems Engineering experience is desirable
- Ability to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility, as required
- Defence platform-based or sustainment experience
- Aviation knowledge / experience, specifically experience with F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft
