Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Finance & Reconciliation Officer to provide assistance to the day to day operations of our corporate accounting team.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Preparation of daily bank reconciliations within the finance system.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
  • Preparation and review of aged payables and receivables reporting including reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer invoicing.
  • Review corporate credit card and employee expense claim coding.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register including monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting requirements of subcontractor retentions and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements.
  • Review and authorise payments within the company's banking platform.
Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Prior accounting or finance experience, preferablywithin a large business environment.
  • The ability manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
