Scope is a not-for-profit disability service provider that supports thousands of people with complex needs. This role is based in Bomaderry and involves working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home that supports male clients with intellectual and physical disabilities, including acquired brain injury. Experience in physical disabilities, manual handling and personal care is desirable.

Shifts available at this home include day (A), afternoon (B), active night (10pm - 6am) and sleepover (5pm - 9am) and require great availability.

Your role
  • Supporting adults with complex mental health and intellectual and physical disabilities in an independent living model.
  • Following positive behaviour support and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
  • Encouraging capacity building to enhance clients' current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
  • Promoting choice and control and showing willingness to participate in clients' day-to-day routines, goals, and interests.
  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
Requirements
  • Regular access to your own car and a P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher.
  • Flexible availability across a 24/7 roster which may include mornings (6am-2pm or 7am-3pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm), sleepover (5pm-9am).
  • Ability to meet compliance checks and licensing requirements as listed by Scope.
