Overview

Casual Swim Programs Instructors / Swim Coaches deliver high quality swim programs across multiple locations on a casual day-to-day basis. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, mornings and afternoons; penalty rates apply for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality swim programs to enable participants to achieve personal development goals and improve swimming skills.
  • Deliver programs per Central Coast Council's Learn to Swim Program guidelines and lesson plans as directed by the Crew Leader.
  • Continually review and track participants' progress.
  • Ensure participant safety through safe activities and continual surveillance of swim class members.
  • Prepare lessons and equipment as instructed.
Essential Requirements
  • Current AUSTSWIM qualification in teaching of swimming and water safety or Swim Australia Teacher (SAT) or Swim Coaching qualifications or equivalent.
  • Provide Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID 001 / HLTAID 009).
  • Working with Children Check clearance number or application number as per Child Protection regulations (or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality swim programs of various levels or demonstrated previous experience in coaching swimming.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and work across multiple locations.

It is the responsibility of successful applicants to undertake Hepatitis B and Tetanus vaccinations or to demonstrate immunity prior to commencement.
