Overview

Join the Intermediate Accountant role at Vincents. Vincents is a national professional services firm with expertise in Forensic, Taxation and Advisory, supporting clients for over 36 years.

We are expanding our Restructuring & Recovery team in Brisbane. You will leverage accounting and finance skills to oversee small to medium appointments, prepare briefs, oversee commercial litigation, conduct solvency analyses and prepare detailed reports. You will stay current with industry practices and contribute to the firm's continuous improvement and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Report directly to directors and managers on day-to-day operations of appointments
  • Lead diverse investigations
  • Liaise with creditors, banks, and statutory authorities
  • Investigate distressed companies' financial affairs
  • Collaborate on complex technical issues with directors, managers, and business leaders
  • Prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines
  • Analyse financial statements and related data
  • Conduct high-level solvency analyses
  • Prepare detailed reports and client communications
About you
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major or equivalent
  • CA/CPA qualified or in progress
  • Proven Australian experience in a similar role within an insolvency environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical accounting concepts including the Corporations Act 2001, Bankruptcy Act 1966 and relevant insolvency law
  • Experience with computerised accounting systems (e.g., INSOL, XERO, MYOB)
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
