Department of Professional Practice – Manager to Director
Our Department of Professional Practice is made up of analytical, inquisitive people that bring together knowledge across financial reporting and technical accounting. As an Experienced Financial Reporting Manager/Director, you will support the business and our clients in the application of accounting standards and other financial reporting regulatory requirements.
Your OpportunityForming part of the National Financial Reporting Team, this role will play a key role in:
- Research accounting and other regulatory requirements in the context of specific transactions to determine accounting consequences
- Coach teams and clients through technical accounting issues
- Review and provide feedback on technical accounting papers
- Knowledge share FAQs and key learnings with teams and clients
- Undertake reviews of financial statements for compliance with disclosure and accounting requirements
- Identify opportunities for and develop accounting and reporting related guidance, training and thought leadership materials for both internal and external client consumption
- Participate in specific technical accounting subject matter focus groups, developing technical expertise on the specific subject
- Provide input into global and Asia Pacific teams in the development of global guidance and sharing of common and emerging issues
- Research accounting and regulatory requirements for specific transactions to determine accounting consequences
- Coach teams and clients through technical accounting issues
- Review and provide feedback on technical accounting papers
- Share FAQs and key learnings with teams and clients
- Review financial statements for compliance with disclosure and accounting requirements
- Develop accounting and reporting guidance, training and thought leadership materials
- Participate in technical accounting subject matter focus groups
- Contribute to global guidance and sharing of issues with global and Asia Pacific teams

- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Immediate/advanced experience with IFRS and/or Australian Accounting Standards
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- High standard of integrity, confidentiality, accountability and professionalism
Please note, salary ranges from $100k+ depending on experience. We are hiring for the following employment types: Casual, Max-Term Full-Time, Max-Term Part-Time, Permanent Full-Time & Permanent Part-Time.
