We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Public Areas Attendant to join our vibrant team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre. With over 370 stylish rooms, a sparkling pool, a lively lagoon perfect for water sports, and a variety of dining options, there's always something happening across the property. Our world-class Convention Centre hosts up to 1,500 guests and is a sought-after destination for major Australian and international conferences and events. We're looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented to help maintain the high standard of presentation across our public spaces - creating a clean, welcoming environment for every guest, every day. What You'll Be Doing
  • Cleaning and maintaining public and back-of-house areas in line with hotel standards
  • Supporting stocktakes and ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning products
  • Following all safety and hygiene procedures when handling cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Assisting with housekeeping tasks including room cleaning, houseman duties, laundry, and uniform areas
  • Responding to guest and team member requests promptly and professionally
Qualifications
  • A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on guest service
  • Physically fit and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining presentation standards
  • Flexible and reliable, with availability to work across a rotating seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
