Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our Radio sales team Nine Radio owns and operates top-rating news talk stations 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, 6PR and a music network 2UE, MAGIC & 4BH.

In this role, you will work closely with the Group Business Manager with key tasks in achieving revenue targets for an assigned media agency. You will be the primary day-to-day contact for the media planners/buyers.

Day to day you will:

  • Createtargeted advertising schedules across all audio channels, based on briefs received from advertising agencies.
  • Grow market share & revenue across your client base.
  • Accommodate and prioritise a number of concurrent advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and deliver year on year revenue growth to achievegrowth
  • Develop year on year retention strategies to ensure a minimum of percentage of your customers are retained each quarter
  • Present weekly pro-active ideas and strategies to generate new business in your assigned agency group/territory
  • Lead, manage and mentor a Sales Coordinator.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience within radio sales
  • The ability to present to agency groups and construct excellent proposals, schedules supporting responses to brief and proactive proposals
  • An appreciation of the market trading conditions and ability to negotiate trading discounts on casual business in conjunction with the Group Business Manager
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Outlook and or Gmail, Excel, Power Point
