Key strengths

• Formal culinary qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in a high-end restaurant and / or five-star catering, hospitality or hotel environment
• Strong skills in menu planning, food ordering, storage, and presentation
• Ability to lead and coordinate kitchen staff including apprentices and casual chefs
• Commitment to training and mentoring emerging culinary talent
• Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence using computer systems (email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets)
• Reliability and independence in managing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends (as required)
